Handmade tiles are pressed into moulds by hand, so the edges are soft and no two pieces match. Laid on a wall they read as old brickwork, not tiling. They are also thicker than our pressed tiles, 30 mm for the 9×3 and 25 mm for the 6×3, which deepens the shadow in every joint.
Use them where character matters more than precision: fireplace surrounds, farmhouse fronts, arches, restaurant walls and heritage-style homes. The small 6×3 Vintage Terracotta tile suits walls modelled on old havelis.
Ask your mason to mix pieces from several boxes as he lays them. That spreads the natural colour variation across the wall instead of leaving patches.

What makes handmade brick tiles different?
Each tile is formed by hand in a mould, so edges, corners and colour vary from piece to piece. The wall looks like old hand-made brickwork instead of a uniform tiled surface.
How thick are your handmade brick tiles?
The 9×3 inch handmade tile is 30 mm thick and the 6×3 inch tile is 25 mm. The extra depth gives deeper shadows at the joints, so plan for a slightly thicker build-up than with 20 mm tiles.
Where do handmade brick tiles work best?
Fireplace surrounds, farmhouse fronts, restaurant walls, arches and any wall meant to look old. Because every tile differs, mix tiles from several boxes as you lay them.
